Since 2016, the group acquired 84 companies and secured both a diversified portfolio of international clients within its BPTO and HR businesses and a growing number of customers when it comes to its eCommerce and Food verticals. Founders
BOSQAR d.d., the holding company of the BOSQAR INVEST group, was co-founded by Stjepan Orešković and Manica Pirc Orešković.
Stjepan Orešković is a Croatian entrepreneur and academic working at the intersection of education, science, and business. As the majority owner of BOSQAR d.d., the holding company of the BOSQAR INVEST group, he has transformed the company into a global leader, employing over 15,000 people across 20 countries.
He is also a professor at the University of Zagreb and president of the IEDC Bled School of Management. He has collaborated with leading global universities, including Harvard, LSE, Bocconi, and Sorbonne, and is a distinguished Member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts.
His research has been widely published, and his contributions to public health are cited as examples of best practices in publications such as The Lancet. His work and projects, more broadly, have been covered in leading European and US media.
He has received many awards, including the Nikola Tesla Award for Ethics in Business by Transparency International.
Manica Pirc Orešković is a business and media executive with a career spanning various industries. As the majority shareholder of BOSQAR d.d. and the publisher of Time Out Croatia (2017–2024), she promoted sustainable tourism, cultural enrichment, and impactful social initiatives.
She holds academic credentials from the Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering at the University of Ljubljana and the School of Political Sciences at the University of Zagreb. She has also pursued advanced studies as a Doctoral Fellow specializing in Agricultural Economics.
As director of Orso Plan Zagreb (2005–2024), Manica successfully spearheaded real estate investment projects in Croatia and Slovenia. A prolific writer with over 150 front-page articles, she actively champions causes such as gender equity, healthy living, and social responsibility. She believes education is essential for societal progress.
Manica is married to Stjepan Orešković and is the proud mother of three – Luka, Tin, and Petra Laura – each an Ivy League graduate.

2016
First acquisition, of Zagreb-based Meritus Plus, and establishment of the group, with consolidated revenue of EUR 4.6M.
2019
An Initial Public Offering (IPO) was completed with a market cap of EUR 30M, with strategic investments from AZ OMF AB category, Erste Plavi OMF B category, NEK Fund, PBZ Croatia AB category, and Raiffeisen Voluntary Pension Fund.
2020
A strategic partnership was formed with MidEuropa Partners, which invested in the BPTO vertical, Mplus.
2022
The first corporate sustainability-linked bond in Croatia was issued, raising EUR 40M and establishing a partnership with EBRD and Erste as cornerstone investors. Workplace, the HR vertical, was launched the same year.
2023
Eplus Ventures, the third (eCommerce) vertical, was launched. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) announced an investment of EUR 60M in the BPTO vertical. The consolidated revenues surpassed EUR 300M and EBDTA 40M. The market cap doubled to over EUR 220M.
2024
An equity offering was successfully completed, raising EUR 49,1M. The market cap reached EUR 294M. The acquisition of a 51% stake in Panvita Group, a leading regional food group, was finalized. BOSQAR INVEST's fourth vertical - Future Food - was launched. BOSQAR and partners announced a EUR 100M investment in Mlinar Group, aimed at strengthening BOSQAR's Future Food vertical.
